Look, up in the sky!

Halloween has come and gone for 2013. I guess that stands alone as my most favorite time of the year. If left to me, I'd declare it a National Holiday. Over the years I have really gotten into the spirit of creepy and goolish goblins and spirits long gone, except in the minds of those who create and imagine the undead.

Having fun is a good way to release stress and live in a imaginary world. I guess it says a lot about the state of your mind and how sick you really are, haha. It's also the only time a grown man can play with dolls and not have anyone think less of him.

Everyone seems to get into the spirit of the season. I guess in a way, it's a way to welcome in the winter season. Regardless of your status or position in life you can be something else other than your real self. While most of us and our costumes will go un-noticed. There are those who make national headlines with their dress or lack of it.

If only we could always find something to laugh and smile about. We can only hope that life will imitate art and cast a spell that will forever remind us that life doesn't always have to be so serious :)

This years costume almost got me killed. I waited until after Halloween, as I always do to take advantage of the big sales. All those items and props that aren't sold at regular price, go on sale after Halloween is over. So it was with this years Walmart's buys. Reduced 75% was a deal for sure. So I bought a cart full and headed home. Disguised as a mild manner reporter. I waited for Ms Lane to come home. Pulling into the drive way of our daily planet, as she pushed the garage door button. Standing as a symbol of truth and justice behind the garage door going upward, this super hero was almost trampled by a Mustang. Ms Lane was in awl or shock. Can't imagine what she was thinking, or not thinking. Like a damsel in dis-stress, the Mustang run away and the man of steel had to leap over in a great bound. I was one happy super hero of a old white man that can still jump. That damsel of a mindless creature was laughing so hard she lost control of that steed she was driving.

Ok so I'm not your average Clark Kent. But it was a great buy at $7.00. I'm sending it off to brother Herbert. It runs in the family, hahaha. At my age I think it's time I give up playing with the doll kids and dressing up, but a mind is a terrible thing to waste :) I'm already think about next year and "Why go Dutch?

Because we can :)
